The coming weeks I will tell you everything about body figures. Because when you wear the clothing that fits you body figure you pay attention to the parts of your body where you are proud of and show your figure to its best advantage.
Hereby it’s not important to blur those parts on which you are not so proud of, but lay emphasis on the best parts of your body.

With the aim to feel more confident and shine more!

Every week I tell you all about the characteristics of a figure type and give you tips about the do’s and don’ts.



Are your shoulders narrower than your hips, do you have firm thighs and are you blessed with wide, round hips? Than you probably have a pear figure.



Features pear figure:

  • narrow shoulders and wider hips
  • longer torso
  • visible waist
  • firm thighs
  • wide, round hips



Always try to focus on the top. Opt for light colors or prints on the top and dark uni colors on the bottom.
 Do you like to wear jackets? Opt for short jackets or jackets just a bit below your hips. Straight skirts and maxi skirts are perfect for your body figure. And if you like to wear skirts, opt for a-line skirts as well. These will look fabulous on you.
Are you a fan of pants and jeans instead? Opt for straight or bootcut (flared) models. Especially the flared jeans is made for you!


Do not focus on your waist or below your waist (like a hip belt or low waist jeans). And do not wear trousers made of thick fabrics. This creates more volume.
Do not wear tight tops or shirts. These will lay focus on your wider hips and legs. Opt for loose fit tops or tops made of soft fabrics.
Do not go for low waisted pants or jeans, pleated pants or trousers with pockets on the sides.
And last but not least: do not wear your pants too tight. Prefer one size bigger or one with high stretch content.
