This Friday: my favorite places in Rotterdam to have breakfast

For the best coffee of Rotterdam you have to go to Hopper. Almost everything in this coffeebar is homemade; they burn their own coffee beans and bake their own sourdough bread.
In the meantime they’ve opened their second store and Hopper is a true understanding in Rotterdam. Great address to go with your kids as well. Upstairs there is a small playground. So when your kids are playing you can enjoy the best cappuccino with brownie in town!
Hopper, Schiedamsevest 146, Rotterdam
Opening hours: Monday-Friday from 08.45 and on weekends from 10 o’clock.

Stroop reminds you of the famous Dutch stroopwafels, coffee and design. But you can also eat ‘strosti’ (croque monsieur with syrup and bacon) and a sandwich. There is a big basket with games that will help you get through Sunday mornings. They’ve also thought about kids; there is a block corner, kids coffee and mini stroopwafels. Like!
Stroop, Mathenesserweg 21b, Rotterdam
Opening hours: Thursday-Saturday from 10 o’clock and on Sunday from 12 o’clock

La Buvette is a new hotspot in the city centre of Rotterdam. Situated in the monumental Erasmushuis where you look out over the Coolsingel, it’s nice to be here on every morning. Breakfast includes croissants, yogurt and delicious pancakes.
La Buvette, Coolsingel 104, Rotterdam
Opening hours: Monday-Friday from 8 o’clock, Saturday from 11 o’clock and Sunday from 12 o’clock

Bar Bistro BOMM means “The Best of MoMents”. This is an urban chic restaurant with good food and drinks. When you come here for breakfast you can have lunch at the same time.
BOMM, Oudedijk 217b, Rotterdam
Opening hours: Tuesday until Sunday from 11.30.

Looking for a restaurant where you can have breakfast and coffee all day long? Lilith will be your next hangout.
Opened from 7 o’clock in the morning until it’s cozy :)) Perfect for those winter mornings and rainy days. Breakfast includes Eggs Benedict, pancakes with syrup and fresh fruit, lots of salmon and quinoa for the healthy mornings.
Lilith, Mauritsstraat 217, Rotterdam
Opening hours: Tuesday-Friday from 7 o’clock and Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 8.30.

This is the place where I went swimming as a little kid and spend hours in the wild water stream. Now it’s transformed to an unique restaurant, bar, city park, coffee-roasting factory and terrace.
Aloha is situated in the old and well-known swimming pool Tropicana and it’s the place to be when you want to sit at one of the most beautiful places in Rotterdam. With views over the Maas you can enjoy a great cup of coffee, have the best lunch and dinner and enjoy refreshing drinks. Hotspot!
Aloha, Maasboulevard 100, Rotterdam
Opening hours: all days from 12 o’clock

Enjoy the weekend! See you back on Monday!

Love,

Chris
